Adapting her own book for the screen, the late Carrie Fisher’s script is a thinly veiled autobiography dealing with her own struggles with drugs and alcohol in the world of Hollywood.
Coupled with rip-off-merchant managers, two-timing love interests and the challenging world of sobriety when surrounded by indulgence and excess, Suzanne never seems to catch an even break but perhaps happiness is closer to home than she thinks.
